Area development (revitalisation)
Soil remediation is often required prior to actually proceeding to develop or revitalise a contaminated area into an industrial or residential area. Biosoil Europe carries out remediations for such customers as contractors, construction companies, project developers and architects.
The decontamination in the subsoil often involves a blend of divergent substances: chlorinated solvents, mineral oil, tar products and volatile aromatics (BTEXN). Contaminants in the topsoil are often immobile, containing such elements as heavy metals, PAHs and asbestos.
In soil remediation as part of area development, we combine such techniques as conventional excavation, land farming and in-situ remediation measures. Mobile pollutants are isolated to eliminate additional risks. In large-scale projects, we are eager to develop specific innovations geared to the contamination situation and proposed development.
A remediation of a former business property is certainly specialised work. We can advise and support our clients with our services, making it possible to integrate remediation in the redevelopment.
